These terms apply to this website and to every service we sell. If any of this conflicts with a signed contract you have with GardenSoon LLC, the signed contract wins.

Using the site

You can read, share, and link to anything on this site. Don't scrape, repackage, or re-publish our content at commercial scale without written permission. Don't try to break into the Network admin, damage the site, or use any of our forms to send spam. Screenshots for journalism, education, and personal use are fine and encouraged.

Build services (Pittsburgh installs)

Build services are governed by a written contract you sign before any work begins. The contract includes scope, price, schedule, payment terms, warranty (typically 1 season on plant life with reasonable care, 15 years on cedar beds under normal residential use), and cancellation policy. This page does not replace that contract. If you have not signed a contract, no work will begin, and no deposit will be charged.

Design services

Blueprint and Grow engagements are delivered under a short digital agreement attached to the booking. Strategy Sessions are one-time live video calls at the posted rate; no ongoing commitment. All three services are refundable before the first session is delivered. After delivery, partial refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis — email us.

The Second Garden

The Second Garden program is funded by paid Builds (through a built-in margin in our pricing) and by direct sponsorships from individuals, businesses, and congregations. GardenSoon LLC is not currently a 501(c)(3) entity; gifts are not tax-deductible and are reported as business income. Recipient matching happens through partnerships with Pittsburgh-area food pantries; GardenSoon does not accept public applications for Second Garden installs.

Network

The Network is free to join. You own the garden data you post. By posting, you grant GardenSoon a non-exclusive license to display non-precise location, badge tier, and pounds-donated totals on the public site for as long as your profile remains active. Delete your profile and that license ends.

Payments & refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. Sales tax is applied where required. Refund policies vary by product; see the specific service's page or your signed contract. Chargebacks are handled through your card issuer; we will respond to any dispute with documentation.

Warranties & disclaimers

We warrant built work per the written contract. Written content on this site is offered "as is" as horticultural education; we are not responsible for how a reader applies general guidance to a specific yard. Gardening carries normal outdoor-work risks (exposure, tools, soil-borne pathogens); read, plan, and act accordingly.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GardenSoon LLC's liability for any claim arising from the use of this site or from free services (Network, Manifesto, Field Notes) is limited to $100. Liability for paid services is limited to the amount paid for that specific service. This does not limit liability for willful misconduct, fraud, or statutory protections we cannot waive.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Pennsylvania law, excluding conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes are resolved in the state or federal courts located in Allegheny or Beaver County, PA.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, the "last updated" date at the top changes. Continued use of the site after an update means you agree to the updated terms. For material changes to paid services, existing customers keep the terms in place at the time of purchase.
